Wat Tham Khao Wong is a temple in tambon Ban Rai in the province Uthai Thani. The temple was built in 1987. As the name in Thai reveals it is built against a mountain.
Wat Khao Wong is a forest temple located in lush nature that those who come to visit Uthai Thani cannot miss to stop by paying respect and enjoying the ambience of nature. There are many caves within the area such as Tham Chaeng where the light shines through it. On the right, there is an overhanging rock where a small Mondop is situated and a beautiful ordination hall is located on the hillside. On top, tourists can see monkeys and peacocks living in the area of the temple.
