The charming island of Koh Sichang, located off Si Racha, lies 120 km southeast of Bangkok and 20 km north of Pattaya. Rocky and encircled by a turquoise sea, Koh Sichang presents magnificent landscapes and quaint, serene beaches that are especially tranquil during weekdays.
This is also an interesting place to visit with its temples perched on hills offering a beautiful view of the port and its former royal palace where Vimanmek Palace which was deconstructed and reconstructed in Bangkok was built. You can still see the design of foundations on the ground.
Ko Sichang is very small, you quickly go around it by motorbike, but it is interesting to spend at least one night on the island. The atmosphere is much more authentic than on the other islands in the area.
